Cost Reduction

‘Fourrmula’ realise it may not be practical to redesign a product completely. However, there is still a methodology to remove costs from products even without a redesign. A recent Project resulted in an average saving of 44% on components without any redesign implementing Stages 1 & 2 of a 4 staged process developed and used by ‘Fourrmula’. On another assembly the material and labour cost was reduced from £420.76 to £223.08 (47% saving) in Stages 1 & 2 without any redesign. In Stage 3 and 4 the assembly cost was reduced to £115.00 (73% saving from the original cost) with a DFMA based industrial redesign.
